The Facebook Team Scam Email

I received this message in my junk email. So, obviously something isn't right about it to start with. The following is the break down of the major parts of the message I received.

Here is the subject of this scam / virus email:

Facebook Password Reset Confirmation.

This email was supposedly sent by:

The Facebook Team

Here is the body of the email:

[More:]

Hey dave ,

Because of the measures taken to provide safety to our clients, your password has been changed.
You can find your new password in attached document.

Thanks,
The Facebook Team

A big thing to pay attention to on this is that there is a file attachment in this email. This attachment is probably the nastiness that this email is trying to deliver. So don't save this attachment or open it, it could very well cause you problems if you do.

If you receive an email like this, don't open the attachment, or respond to it. JUST DELETE IT
Dave
